Expert Solution Architecture (m/w/d)

• You'll contribute to the system architecture of our cloud-based IT landscape and help bring modern technologies to life, such as our Microservice architecture (mostly Java on Azure) and event streaming (Confluent Kafka), together with our powerful SAP landscape.
• Working closely with business owners, project teams and our Development teams, you'll help align our systems with our company's goals.
• You'll translate business requirements into clear architectural specifications and use them to design robust technical solutions, with support from senior colleagues where needed.
• Together with other architects, you'll apply and help shape our standards, patterns and procedures.
• Together with the team, you'll further develop our architecture-as-code approach (e.g. with C4/Structurizr) and use AI tools to make it smarter and faster.
• You'll document your solutions in our tools, coordinate them with relevant stakeholders and support the implementation.
• You enjoy trying out new ideas in proof-of-concept projects and learning to balance technical and business interests.

• You can analyze requirements in a structured way and document and present solutions clearly, ideally as code using a modeling language like C4 (Structurizr), PlantUML or Mermaid.
• You enjoy working with AI tools and are curious about how they can support architecture work.
• You've worked with interface definitions (e.g. OpenAPI or Avro) and are interested in integrating complex systems, including SAP.
• You can come up with possible solutions, compare them based on facts and contribute to decisions such as MAKE or BUY.
• With an open, digital and international mindset, you take responsibility for your tasks, work independently (but never alone) and enjoy learning new things.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach are among your strengths, as is collaborating with both people and machines.
• Very good communication skills in English and, preferably, in German.
• You have experience in software development and first hands-on experience in software architecture.
• Experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus: Finance, People/HR or Logistics.
