Senior Expert Solution Architecture (m/w/d)

• As a Senior Solution Architect at Fressnapf, you take full ownership of finding and delivering innovative IT solutions across your dedicated business domain.
  In this role, you design the overarching cloud architecture, driving modern microservices on Azure, event streaming with Confluent Kafka, and integration with our SAP landscape.
• Working closely with business owners, project leads, and software engineering teams, you align technical system design with our long-term strategic company goals.
• You translate complex business requirements into clear architectural specifications and derive resilient, future-proof technical solutions that scale across our enterprise ecosystem.
• Collaborating with our architecture community, you actively define, establish, and continuously govern enterprise-wide architectural standards, integration patterns, and best-practice procedures.
• Together with your team, you steer our architecture-as-code approach using C4 and Structurizr while actively leveraging modern AI tools to elevate daily workflows.
• You systematically document target architectures in our modeling tools, align them with key technical stakeholders, and actively support implementation throughout the development lifecycle.
• You mentor fellow architects and developers while driving hands-on proof-of-concept initiatives that effectively balance cutting-edge technological innovation with pragmatic business requirements.

• You bring several years of hands-on experience in software development and enterprise software architecture, backed by a solid technical background and relevant qualification.
• Broad methodological expertise in structured requirements engineering and architecture-as-code modeling using tools such as C4, Structurizr, PlantUML, or Mermaid characterizes your profile.
• You demonstrate proven proficiency in defining integration patterns, including synchronous, event-driven, and API-led architectures, alongside modern interface specifications like OpenAPI and Avro.
• You possess extensive experience designing complex, traceable, and maintainable cross-system technical processes that seamlessly integrate enterprise solutions such as SAP.
• A structured, analytical mindset empowers you to evaluate diverse solution options objectively and make fact-based architectural decisions, including strategic make-versus-buy evaluations.
• You enjoy actively utilizing AI tools to enhance architectural workflows and bring continuous curiosity for exploring modern technologies alongside both human and automated collaborators.
• An open, international mindset, proactive ownership, and excellent communication skills in English, ideally complemented by German, belong to your core personal strengths.
